Boat moored near us during the storm. The water was so rough, the mooring ball was under water.

Cindy and Jerry

We began the day with breakfast with Cindy and Jerry, Mary and Steve, and Norm and Sue. After we finished eating, Cindy, Jerry, Mary, and Steve all took off on their motorcycles for Fort Myers. When they left, the day was nice and sunny. But, by about 2:00 P.M., we had heavy winds and a huge downpour. It was scary. On the marine radio, we heard the Coast Guard reports of capsized boats and people in the water. There was one report of an unmanned boat hitting a bridge. The dinghy tied to the boat in front of us flipped upside down and his gas can was floating in the water. We were glad to be on the boat and securely tied. We hope the motorcycle group made out okay.

We were invited to Norm and Sue's for dinner. They also invited Bob and Nancy, whom we knew from North Fort Myers. It was really nice to spend the late afternoon and early evening with them. Dinner was delicious! The conversation was equally as wonderful.
