THE IDES OF MARCH

Beautiful Bougainvillea.

Roosters walk around on the streets in Key West.

This morning we went to the Key West Airport to the US Customs and Border Patrol Department to get our residency card. Apparently, this card is supposed to make reentry into the US easier when we return from the Bahamas. We then turned in the rental car and took a cab back to the marina. After settling up and getting pumped out, we untied from the dock and headed out to anchor in an area that was somewhere between where Norm and Sue had been and where we had been for the last two days. The Key West experience is one we will remember forever. We really had a good time there.

Our anchorage is nice and protected. We are anchored facing opposite directions so we have an anchor in front and one in back. This seems to work well for us and keeps us from swinging too much. It's another beautiful day with comfortable temperatures and a nice breeze. We are getting so spoiled.
