Mike

Linda
Another gorgeous sunset.
Joan, me, and an experimental plane at the Aviation Musem. The wings are not there because they are being painted.

Friday we met Charlie and Joan on their way back to Cincinnati. They had visited us a few days then went to Key West for a few days. On their way back through Marathon, they stopped and had lunch with Mike and Linda, Norm and Sue, and John and me. We ate at the Fish Market, had dessert at Burdine's and then went to the Aviation Museum. We called the museum after lunch to inquire about their hours. They are open from until about noon, but the man I called said he would meet us there at 2:30. It was small, but it was interesting and the man (Ed) was very nice to us. I've included some pictures from the museum. C and J left us at that point. We were so glad they came to spend some time with us and hope they will again somewhere along the line.

On Saturday, Mike and Linda, and John and I went to the Stuffed Pig for lunch and then to West Marine. We bought a few things, but my personal favorite was a case that will float and keep my camera dry if I should drop it in the water again. Later in the day, we went out for dinner at the Island Fish Co. Our meals were all wonderful. We had a great waitress who smiled and was efficient. That makes such a big difference. The three girls dropped off the guys at the dinghy dock and went to the live theater. We saw "Act Now" which is an original musical comedy about local theater productions. A man who lives on his boat here a Boot Key Harbor wrote the music and performed in the play. It was quite entertaining. There was also an art show going on in the same building. Linda bought lots of chances to win a painting which will be raffled off in April. As anyone in the Rising Sun Boat Club knows, she is extremely lucky. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if she won the painting. Time will tell.

Today we went for a dinghy ride with Mike and Linda to explore the area. We ran into Ricki and Carl whom we met at Joe Wheeler at the Rendezvous and they joined us for lunch at Burdine's again. We really like Burdine's and the Fried Key Lime Pie. Can't you tell? After we got back to the boat, Mike and Linda packed up their stuff and we dinghied them to their car. We had a great time visiting with them and hope to see them again along the way.

Saturday morning we ran into another issue with the generator. This time we have an oil pressure sensor leaking. We discovered this on Saturday morning, but the local parts place is closed over the weekend. It will open tomorrow morning. So, we are hoping to have it fixed by tomorrow afternoon.
