SEAFOOD FESTIVAL

Bob and Nancy

Safer bungee jumping.

They didn't have cool "rides" like this when I was a kid.

The pirates and their women.

Today began the Marathon Seafood Festival. There were craft booths, fishing booths, boating booths, food booths (of course), music all day, pirates walking around, and cool rides for the kids. The weather was perfect. It was warm with a nice breeze. We met Norm and Sue, and Bob and Nancy at the festival. A lot of the booths were handing out advertising things. The Coast Guard Auxiliary gave out stay dry bags that are the right size for a cell phone or a small camera. I wish I would have had this before I fell in the water. John bought a fishing pole and some lures that he is anxious to try. All in all, we had a really nice time.
Tomorrow (Sunday), we are hoping to leave Marathon and head toward Key West. Naturally, it will depend upon the weather. We don't want to be caught in a storm, high winds, or high waves. We have been here 5 1/2 weeks and we are feeling the itch to move on down the water.
