HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

Stained glass window at Annette's.

Are you feeling a little green today? Have you eaten your corned beef and cabbage? Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!

I can't decide if it's being retired or being a boater that makes everything be a food event. It seems that most days where and / or what we eat is the biggest decision we have to make. Today for lunch we ate at a restaurant across the street from Boot Key Harbor called Annette's. They have a $5 lunch menu or, if you'd rather, an $8 buffet that includes salad, meats, sides, and dessert. What a deal! We ate enough at lunch that none of us were hungry when it was time for dinner. Bob and Nancy met us and Norm and Sue there. Tomorrow is going to be an eat on the boat day. Besides, we have projects to work on anyway.
There are two little girls on the sailboat beside us. They are about 8 to 10 years old. They make me so nervous because they have a rope with a knot in the bottom of it, hanging from a mast. They take turns swinging on this rope out over the water and then back onto the boat. What scares me is that they do not wear life jackets and their parents are inside the boat. They are as cute as can be and are having a good time, but I can't watch them. It scares me too much.
Well, today was another perfectly wonderful day. Until tomorrow......
