I forgot to mention yesterday that I met John on that day (May 6th) in 1970 at a McAuley High School dance.  And the rest is history.

This morning, we turned in the rental car, filled the water tank, and pumped out before we left the dock at 7:45 A.M.  We only cruised 3.5 miles out to the big water.  The winds were 15 to 20 knots and so the water was rough.  We could see that we would have beam seas when we made our turn and decided with Norm and Sue that we would turn around and go back to Hampton Public Pier.  I guess tomorrow we will reassess and look at the weather before making a decision about whether to stay or go. One day at a time.
