We are currently docked between these two bridges in Jacksonville
Last night's sunset. We were able to get in touch with our friend Jim McGowan here in Jacksonville. He and his wife Anita did the Great Loop about ten years ago and settled in the Jacksonville area. We were so very sad to learn that Anita passed away this past summer from cancer. Jim, who broke his leg on Friday, found a friend to drive him to the marina this afternoon for a really nice visit. He is still the same smiling Jim we all remembered from Catalina Harbor. We plan on seeing him at least two more times while we are on the St. Johns River. We were glad that his friend Craig was kind enough to being him here and he also stayed and chatted with us. So, we've made another friend along our way.
We plan on leaving Jacksonville in the morning and heading for Six Mile.
