Container ship being pushed into place by the tractors.
My dream house

Sunrise this morning

Lion Bridge in St. Augustine

We left St. Augustine this morning at 8:00 A.M. and headed for Jacksonville. What a lovely day to cruise. The temperature was perfect and there was a slight breeze. We saw a lot more boat traffic today. We saw this rather large container ship and a large ship that unloaded many, many new cars. One after the other, after the other, after the other, etc. We saw so many beautiful homes along the ICW. We arrived at the Jacksonville Metropolitan Marina at 2:15 P.M. This is a free marina to use up to 72 hours. If you want electric, you swipe your credit card in a kiosk at the end of the dock after putting in your slip number. It costs $8.56 for 24 hours worth of electric. Pretty good deal, huh?

We have some friends from Cincinnati who did the Great Loop several years ago and settled in Jacksonville. We are hoping to get to visit with them while we are here.
